The FPSO Cidade de Santos MV20 is deployed in the Urugua field and gathers production from the Tambau field. Both fields are in the Santos Basin and are being developed together. The natural gas processed in the FPSO Cidade de Santos MV20 is delivered through an 18 inch gas pipeline to the Mexilhão field 170 kilometers from Urugua. The FPSO is capable of processing 350 million cubic feet per day of gas, 35,000 barrels of oil per day, and has a storage capacity of approximately 700,000 barrels.
The FPSO is installed in 1,300 meters water depth approximately 160 kilometers from Rio de Janeiro city.
The FPSO is leased to client Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras).
MODEC was responsible for theEngineering Procurement Construction Installation and Commissioning (EPCI Contract) as well as Operation and Maintenance of the Cidade de Santos MV20 FPSO.
MODEC is owner and operator.
Petrobras' total oil and natural gas production in Brazil averaged 2.441 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed) in December 2012, up 3.4% on November 2012. With foreign production included, Petrobras produced an average of 2.683 million boed, up 4.2% on November.
Brazil's state-run oil firm, Petroleo Brasileiro SA (PBR), or Petrobras, will start production this week at the Urugua field, in Santos Basin, the company said late Wednesday in a statement.
